Eligibilty for Membership


MEMBERS
The Membership of the Association shall consist of life members, ordinary members


Life Members:
Any Cutchi Visha Oswal person who has passed the final examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India may become a life Member of the Association by paying membership fees.


Ordinary Members:
Any Cutchi visha Oswal person who has passed the final examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India may become an ordinary member of the Association by paying membership fees per financial year.

The life member and the ordinary member shall only be regarded as a member of the Association for all purpose under these Rules and Regulation and the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

STUDENTS
1. Any Cutchi Visha Oswal person who is a registered student of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India may become a student associate of the Association by paying one time associate fees.

2. He shall cease to be a student associate on the earliest occurrence of any of the following event:
    A) he passed the final examination of ICAI or ICWA or ICSI
    B) he completes 5 (five) year from the date of registration as a student of ICAI or ICWA or ICSI
    C) he voluntarily or otherwise discontinues the course of ICAI or ICWA or ICSI.

ASSOCIATES
Eligibility
An Associate should be:

   A)  Graduate from any recognized university;
   B) 21 years of age and above; and
   C) Engaged in the field of Accounting, Audit, Management Consultancy, Capital Market and Financial Services, Taxation, Information technology
       enabled services and/or any branch of law and/or in any field/ area as may be permitted from time to time by ICAI, ICWAI and ICSI to its practicing
       members.

Application
Every applicant seeking admission as an Associate shall:

A) Make an application for being admitted as an Associate in a prescribed form and shall contain such particulars as may be required by the managing
     committee from time to time.
B) The application has to be proposed by a life member and seconded by another life member of the Association.
C) The application shall be signed by the applicant and shall be accompanied by a fee, photographs and such other evidences/ proofs as may be
     prescribed by the managing committee from time to time.
D) The application shall be placed before the managing committee and on approval thereof shall be admitted as an Associate.


Duration
The term as an Associate at a time shall be minimum one financial year and maximum for three financial years which can be renewed for a maximum period of three financial years.
